As per a circular issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Competent Authority has approved the premature repatriation of Mr. Gyaneshwar Singh, a 1999-batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IPS officer, from his position as Deputy Director General (DDG) in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to his parent cadre. This decision is effective immediately and includes the provision for an ‘extended cooling-off’ period.
