Dehradun: Many IAS officers have been given new responsibilities in Uttarakhand. Actually, the IAS officers who were recently promoted to the post of Secretary were to be given new responsibilities. Therefore, the government has changed the responsibilities of 6 IAS officers. Uttarakhand government gave the gift of promotion to 14 IAS officers just before the new year. In this, especially 7 IAS officers were promoted to the rank of Secretary. Now an order related to responsibility has been issued to these officers coming at the secretary level. The government has issued an order related to the change in responsibility of a total of 6 IAS officers. The responsibility of Minority Department has been taken back from Principal Secretary IAS officer L Fanai. He has not been given any other new responsibility in this list. Apart from this, the responsibility of religious affairs and culture has also been removed from IAS Harishchandra Semwal. Apart from this, the responsibility of Director General Culture has also been taken back from Harishchandra Semwal. He was handling the post of Secretary of both the departments. Currently, Harishchandra Semwal now has only the responsibility of Commissioner Food and Commissioner Excise.
At the same time, four IAS officers of the year 2009 batch have got responsibility at the secretary level. In this, C Ravishankar, Jugal Kishore Pant, Ranveer Singh Chauhan and Dhiraj Singh Garbyal have got responsibility at the secretary level. IAS C Ravishankar has been given the responsibility of Secretary Skill Development and Employment. IAS Jugal Kishore Pant has got the responsibility of Secretary Religious Affairs and Culture. IAS Ranveer Singh Chauhan has been given the responsibility of Secretary Sugarcane and Sugar Department. While IAS Dhiraj Singh Garbyal has got the responsibility of Secretary Minority Welfare Department.
