Dehradun: Maha Kumbh is in full swing across the country. The Maha Kumbh fair has started with the bath of Paush Purnima. Since morning, lakhs of domestic and foreign devotees are taking a dip of faith in the Ganges in Prayagraj, UP. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has also congratulated all the countrymen on Maha Kumbh. CM Dhami has appealed to all the devotees, pilgrims and saints to participate in the Maha Kumbh in large numbers while wishing them all the best.
CM Dhami wrote on the social media platform Action, ‘Mahakumbh has started, I congratulate all the devotees, pilgrims and saints. Everyone should participate in the holy ‘snaan’ during the Maha Kumbh and get rid of all sins… As the Sun enters the Northern Hemisphere, I congratulate all those celebrating Lohri, Makar Sankranti, Uttarayani, Pongal, Bihu…’
Let us tell you that the Uttarakhand government has also made special preparations for the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. Direct roadways facility has been provided from different places of the state. Along with this, land has also been allotted to Uttarakhand in the Prayagraj Kumbh area. In which the pandal of Uttarakhand has been set up. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for air service as well as train from Uttarakhand. Arrangements have been made keeping in view the convenience of the devotees. Major bathing festival dates: 13 January 2025- Paush Purnima, 14 January Makar Sankranti (Amrit Bath), 29 January Mauni Amavasya (Amrit Bath), 03 February Basant Panchami (Amrit Bath), 12 February Maghi Purnima (Amrit Bath), 26 February Maha Shivaratri.
