On the basis of seniority, Anand Bardhan will be the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand, CS Radha Raturi’s tenure ends on 31st

Dehradun: Additional Chief Secretary posted in the government, Anand Bardhan, can be the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi’s extension of service is ending on 31st March. This time she is not believed to be interested in fulfilling the same responsibility again. On Tuesday, Raturi also made a courtesy call on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.

Bardhan is a 1992 batch officer. Bardhan is currently the most senior IAS officer in the bureaucracy of Uttarakhand. On the basis of seniority, there is every possibility of him becoming the Chief Secretary. Official sources are also expressing the possibility of Bardhan being made the Chief Secretary. By the way, Bardhan has also been listed for central deputation. But Bardhan is willing to give his services by staying in Uttarakhand. However, there were also speculations about him going to the Center when he was listed for central deputation.

But Bardhan had made it clear that he has no intention of going on central deputation. After Bardhan, there are two senior IAS officers in the state, whose prescribed service period for the post of Chief Secretary has not been completed. Among them, 1997 batch IAS Principal Secretary RK Sudhanshu is posted in the Chief Secretary’s office and the other Principal Secretary L Fenai is also a 1997 batch IAS. On this basis, there is every possibility of Anand Bardhan becoming the Chief Secretary.

Radha Raturi has applied for the post of Chief Information Commissioner

According to official sources, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has applied for the post of Chief Information Commissioner. The process of selection for the post of Chief Information Commissioner is in progress. It is believed that the government can appoint the Chief Information Commissioner before the term of the Chief Secretary ends.
