Dhami cabinet meeting approved 33 proposals including budget, MLA pension increased

Dehradun: During the cabinet meeting held today on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, about 33 proposals have been agreed upon. During this meeting, the cabinet has approved the budget proposals and road safety rules. In fact, in view of the ever-increasing road accidents in the state of Uttarakhand, the Transport Department has prepared a road safety policy, to which the cabinet has agreed. Along with this, the cabinet has also approved the restructuring of the structure of the Election Department.

33 proposals approved in cabinet meeting

During the cabinet meeting, the annual reports of all the departments have been approved. Along with this, the Dhami cabinet has also agreed to the proposal related to increasing the pension mainly given to former MLAs. Where former MLAs used to get a pension of Rs 40 thousand earlier, it has now been increased to Rs 60 thousand. Apart from this, the pension of former MLAs will also be increased by ₹ 3000 every year. Whereas earlier 2500 was increased. Not only this, the petrol money given to the MLAs for attending the proceedings of the House has also been increased.

The committee formed to stop forest fire will get 30 thousand rupees

During the cabinet meeting, it has been agreed to send the DPR related to the construction of ropeway in Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib to the Government of India. It has been agreed to give Rs 30 thousand per committee to the committee formed by the Forest Department to stop forest fire. Apart from this, the cabinet has agreed to use the land of Khurpiya Farm as residential land. Not only this, the cabinet has also approved the provision of free land for the Sainik Welfare Department.

Budget proposals approved

After the cabinet meeting concluded, Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal said that more than 33 proposals have been discussed during the cabinet meeting. In this, the budget proposals for the upcoming financial year 2025-26 have been approved. The forest fire season is starting, in view of which, to prevent forest fires, along with public participation, work can be done in collaboration with Gram Panchayat, Yuvak Mangal Dal, Mahila Mangal Dal as well as employees of Forest Department and Revenue Department. Apart from this, approval has been given to reorganize the structure of the Election Department.

The minister said that a decision has also been taken in the cabinet meeting regarding the ropeway to be built in Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib under the Tourism Department. The Sainik Welfare Department was demanding land for a long time. Therefore, the cabinet has agreed to the proposal related to providing free land to the Sainik Welfare Department. Apart from this, during the cabinet meeting, consensus has been reached on all the proposals related to tourism as well as Industry, Housing Department and Energy Department. Apart from this, approval has also been given on the budget proposal during the cabinet meeting.
