Rishikesh: Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is starting from 30th April. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the transit camp in Rishikesh on 25th April to take stock of the preparations for the Chardham Yatra. During this, CM Dhami performed Bhoomi Pujan and laid the foundation stone for the construction of multi-storey parking to be built in the Municipal Corporation premises under the first phase of the Rishikesh Ganga Corridor project. Apart from this, he also laid the foundation stone for the construction of rafting base station and office building.
After this, CM Dhami inspected the transit camp premises and took feedback about the preparations from the officials present. During this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed satisfaction over the preparations. He directed the officials to protect the devotees coming on the Yatra from any kind of trouble.
Chief Minister Dhami said that this time the Chardham Yatra will be historic. Devotees will get all kinds of facilities. The government has made every possible arrangement for the devotees coming on the Yatra. CM Dhami said that Rishikesh and the surrounding areas will be developed as an iconic city. So that the tourists coming from the country and the world do not have to face any kind of problem here and more and more tourists reach the area.
He said that rafting in the Ganges near Rishikesh remains a center of attraction for tourists from all over the country and the world. With the construction of the rafting base station, tourists will be more attracted towards rafting.
CM Dhami said that Rishikesh is also the first stop of the Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, the focus of the government is to gather as many facilities as possible here. Let us tell you that the Chardham Yatra is going to start from 30 April. In such a situation, the first fleet of buses of the Joint Rotation Arrangement Committee will leave for the Yatra on 28 April. Which Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with all the ministers will reach Rishikesh to flag off the buses.
