Dehradun: The two-day ‘Surya Drone Festival 2025’ of the Ministry of Defense has started today at Jaswant Ground in Defense Area. Which was inaugurated by Governor Gurmeet Singh. This festival is being considered an important achievement towards self-reliance in India’s defense technology.
Let us tell you that the two-day exhibition is being organized by the Central Command of the Indian Army in collaboration with the Society of Indian Defense Manufacturers (SIDM). The exhibition is showcasing the state-of-the-art drone technologies developed in the country, which is in line with the multidimensional military requirements. It is also inspired by the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. An exhibition was also organized during this time. The exhibition included a live demo based on the combat and management capabilities of drones.
SIDM President Rajendra Singh Bhatia in his address emphasized innovation, collaboration and future military requirements. General Anindya Sengupta said that now unmanned systems have become an integral part of the modern defense system. India is standing at the threshold of a technological revolution in the defense sector. ‘Surya Drone Tech 2025’ is a symbol of collective progress and cooperation in this direction.
At the same time, Governor Gurmeet Singh said that drone technology can bring revolutionary changes not only in the defense sector but also in areas like agriculture, disaster management and infrastructure. It is very important to make innovation a national priority. It is a matter of pride that Uttarakhand is hosting such a futuristic and technological program, which will benefit both the state and the country.
