Chamoli: Rescue operation has started for BRO workers buried in debris after the avalanche in Mana near Badrinath in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Friday. Heli rescue operation has been started from Jyotirmath Base Camp in Mana Avalanche Rescue Operation. Currently two private helicopters have been sent towards Badrinath Dham.
Heavy snowfall has been reported beyond Lambagad on the road. Therefore, now full focus is being done on heli rescue operation. Here Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an update from Uttarakhand CM Dhami regarding the rescue operation.
Rescue started at Mana Avalanche Site
The good news this morning regarding Mana Avalanche Rescue Operation is that the weather has now become normal in the area. After the snowfall stopped, now heli rescue operation has started from Base Camp Joshimath. From DM Chamoli to all the disaster management officials are present in Jyotirmath.
Here, about 150 rescue workers have also left from Joshimath and Govind Ghat Gurudwara for avalanche rescue operation near Badrinath Mana. CM Dhami can also reach Joshimath to monitor the rescue operation. At present, BRO / administration has also released the list of workers caught in the avalanche.

55 workers were buried in the avalanche
It is worth noting that 55 workers working for BRO were buried in the avalanche near Mana, 3 km ahead of Badrinath. The workers were buried under the debris. Out of these, 47 workers have been rescued by the army. They are being treated at Army Hospital Mana. Out of these, 6 workers have been admitted to Jyotirmath Military Hospital. Rescue operation is going on for 8 workers buried under the debris of avalanche.

Three laborers admitted to Jyotirmath Military Hospital
Rescue work has been expedited since 7.30 am on Saturday. Rescue work is being done by two private helicopters. Among these, three laborers have been brought to Jyotirmath Military Hospital. Their condition is currently said to be critical. At the same time, Chamoli District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari has reached Jyotirmath Military Hospital late night and has also instructed everyone to remain on alert mode. At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will reach Jyotirmath and inspect the rescue work by helicopter and will also review with the concerned military officers.

20 km road from Hanuman Chatti to Badrinath covered with snow
Let us tell you that the distance from Hanuman Chatti to Badrinath is about 20 km. 6 to 8 feet of snow is lying on the road within a radius of 20 km. Due to this, movement from here has become difficult. Those who were sent from Joshimath for rescue work on Friday, could also reach Govind Ghat late in the evening. Because due to heavy snowfall on the highway, people are facing a lot of difficulties even in movement on foot.
Operation to rescue 22 workers trapped in avalanche
The weather is clear today. It is expected that the remaining people trapped in the debris of avalanche will also be rescued today by continuous rescue by helicopter. Hospitals in Jyotirmath, Gauchar and Dehradun have been put on alert mode. Efforts are being made to take the injured to the hospital as soon as possible. By Friday evening, 33 workers were rescued safely. The rescue work had to be stopped midway as soon as it became dark. Rescue work has been started by the army since 7:30 am today. Army, ITBP, police, administration teams are continuously engaged in the rescue operation since morning. 14 more people have been rescued this morning. In this way, a total of 47 people have been rescued so far. Now 8 more people are to be rescued. 6 people have been admitted to Jyotirmath Hospital. 42 people are admitted in Mana.
