High alert issued at Dehradun airport, additional security increased, officers’ leave cancelled

Dehradun: After India’s retaliatory action against Pakistan, many airports in the country have been closed. While air traffic is smooth at Dehradun airport. But high alert has been issued at Doon airport and additional security personnel have been deployed.

The leaves of employees, officers and security forces deployed at the airport have been cancelled. People and passengers are being sent forward by conducting search operations in several phases from the toll barrier outside the airport to inside the airport. CISF along with other security agencies are handling the situation.

CISF’s Quick Response Team (QRT) has been deployed at the airport. CISF is patrolling 24 hours along with the local police. Flights coming from different cities of the country are being operated smoothly. All the workers, officers and security personnel deployed at the airport have been instructed to remain on high alert 24 hours.

Flights were full due to holidays in schools

On Friday, from morning till evening, all the flights going to different cities of the country from the airport were full. There was not a single seat in any flight. Deepak Farswan said that two of his acquaintances had to go to Mumbai. But no tickets were available in any flight to Mumbai. The airport administration said that all flights were full on Friday due to holidays in schools.
