Rishikesh: Departmental stores of the pilgrimage city will be closed after March 31. In this sequence, today Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal held a meeting with police officials. In the meeting, answers were sought from the police officers on illegal liquor sale, on which the police officers talked about taking action on liquor smuggling regularly. Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal said that incidents of illegal liquor sale are coming to the fore on social media. Due to which the action of the police on illegal drugs is suspicious.
Let us tell you that Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal had put this matter before Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to protect the identity of religious places. Taking cognizance of which, the cabinet has decided to close the departmental stores of Rishikesh and Haridwar after March 31.
Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal said that today illegal liquor is being delivered at home. The future of the youth is getting ruined by falling prey to drugs like hashish, ganja and opium. He told that the police officers have been strictly told that if illegal drugs are sold in the jurisdiction of the police post, then action will be taken against the post in-charge of that concerned area.
Cabinet Minister Premchand Agarwal said that the railings, lights and sitting benches are being damaged by miscreants on Aastha Path every day. In such a situation, the police officers have been instructed to keep a strict watch on the miscreants on Aastha Path. Apart from this, instructions have been issued to run a campaign against those doing obscene acts and to verify the outsiders. Along with this, rules have also been asked to be made for the traffic system.
