Dehradun: The third week of this month is going to be very busy for the state government in terms of important meetings. This week, the team of the 16th Finance Commission will reach Uttarakhand and the Joint Parliamentary Committee will also come to take suggestions on One Nation One Election.
When the rounds of meetings in Dehradun end, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami will go to New Delhi to attend an important meeting of NITI Aayog. The state government is busy preparing for all these meetings. The team of the important 16th Finance Commission will come to Dehradun on May 18 to determine the share of grants and taxes to the states for the next five years.
On this day, the Chief Minister will give dinner to the team. The next day on May 19, the team of the Commission will hold discussions with the senior officials of the state government in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in Dehradun. A presentation will be given before the Commission on behalf of the state government.
Will hold a press conference and will also take suggestions from the representatives of urban local bodies and three-tier panchayats. On May 20, the commission’s team will visit the state. Meetings of the Finance Department officials are being held to present the state’s side before the commission’s team.
