Uttarakhand: Government gave relief…Now people with three children will also be able to contest Panchayat elections, this is the provision

Dehradun: Amidst the buzz of three-tier Panchayat elections, the government has given relief to the people in the rules of three children. Now people with three children will also be able to contest Panchayat elections, but this rule will not apply to parents with a third child born on or after 25 July 2019. These people will not be entitled to become candidates in Panchayat elections.

Let us tell you that before the Panchayat elections in the year 2019, the government had banned people with three children from contesting elections, whether they were born at that time or earlier. Many protests also came to the fore regarding this.

Also, the hopes of the people who were preparing for the elections for a long time were also dashed. The result was that these people supported their candidates from outside and got them to contest the elections. Dissatisfaction was also seen at many levels. People conveyed their point to the government through various means.

Now after about six years, the government has given a big relief in this. Now this rule has been relaxed a bit. The three-child rule will now apply to parents of children born in 2019 or later. The government had brought an ordinance in this regard, the notification of which was issued on Friday.
