Pithoragarh: Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers JP Nadda, who visited Pithoragarh’s Adi Kailash area on a two-day visit, has returned to Dehradun. District Magistrate Vinod Goswami, Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav and Sub-District Magistrate Dharchula Manjit Singh thanked JP Nadda for visiting the area.
Earlier, JP Nadda held a night chaupal with the villagers of Vibrant Village Gunji located near the India-China border of the district late last evening. On this occasion, the local people welcomed him warmly. JP Nadda interacted with the local people. Gave information about the welfare schemes being run by the government for this area. He reiterated the government’s commitment to improve the lives of people living in border areas.
JP Nadda said that our government is committed to the development of border areas. Every possible effort is being made to improve the lives of people living in these areas. He said that after the Prime Minister’s visit to the sacred area of Adi Kailash in 2023, there has been a significant increase in the movement of devotees and tourists in this area. This increased activity has generated new employment opportunities for the local communities. Which has boosted the economy of the region. Due to the increasing number of tourists, various types of employment opportunities have been created locally in Vibrant Village. These mainly include guest houses, homestays, small restaurants, eateries, taxi services, guide services, sale of local handicrafts and souvenirs, and other related services. He said the government has launched several schemes to increase infrastructure development, education, health and employment opportunities in these areas. During this, Rajya Sabha MP and BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Dairy and Animal Husbandry Minister Saurabh Bahuguna, MLA DDhat Bishan Singh Chuphal, District Magistrate Vinod Goswami, Superintendent of Police Rekha Yadav, Sub-District Magistrate Dharchula Manjit Singh etc. were present.
