International Yoga Day: This time the main program will be held in Gairsain, ambassadors of 10 countries also invited

Dehradun: This time the state government will organize a state level program on International Yoga Day in Gairsain, the summer capital. The government has given permission to the AYUSH department for this. For the first time, ambassadors of 10 countries are also being invited on Yoga Day. In the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will do yogasana and give the message to the common people to adopt yoga for a healthy lifestyle. The 11th International Yoga Day will be celebrated on 21 June. This time Gairsain has been selected for the state level program.

The Ayurveda Department has started preparations for Yoga Day in the Bhararisain Vidhan Sabha Bhawan campus. Various programs were started in the state one and a half months ago to make people aware about yoga. To connect yoga with nature, live broadcast of yoga is also being done from places with lakes and rivers. Apart from this, painting competitions based on yoga are also being organized in schools in every district.

Secretary AYUSH Deependra Chaudhary said that the state level Yoga Day program will be held in Gairsain. Apart from this, Yoga Day related programs have also been started at the district level. According to the guidelines of the Ministry of AYUSH, this time a yoga park is being built in each district for Yoga Day. In these parks, local people will be able to practice yoga in the morning and evening.
