Dhami attended the meritorious student felicitation ceremony, honored 75 meritorious students

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday honored 75 meritorious students of high school and intermediate of Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education in the meritorious student felicitation ceremony at the Chief Servant Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s residence. In a program organized by a newspaper, the Chief Minister said that through this felicitation ceremony, Amar Ujala is encouraging the talented students of our state by honoring them every year. The Chief Minister said that all the talented students being honored are the foundation of the bright future of the state. Along with their parents, teachers and school, these students have also increased the prestige of Uttarakhand. The government is constantly trying to improve the education system of the state. Special attention is being given to quality education by the government. NCERT textbooks have been made compulsory in all government schools. Free textbooks are being provided to all students from class 1 to 12 in government and aided schools. 226 schools in the state are being developed as PM schools. Virtual classes are being conducted in 500 schools and smart classrooms are also being set up in hybrid mode in 840 new schools. The Chief Minister said that meritorious students from class 6 to 12 of government and non-government schools of Uttarakhand are being given scholarships every month through the Chief Minister Medhavi Chhatra Protsahan Scholarship Scheme. For the purpose of personality development of children, a scheme has been started to send meritorious students of class 10th and 12th of each development block on India tour. Vocational education has been started in 8 trades in secondary schools, due to which more than 42 thousand students are getting skill based education. Books have been prepared by the government in Garhwali, Kumaoni, Jaunsari languages ​​for the preservation of local language and culture. Through the book ‘Hamari Virasat’, students of classes 6 to 8 are taught about India’s culture, folk traditions and great things.
