11 proposals approved in Dhami cabinet, country’s first yoga policy approved, good news for local contractors too

Dehradun: A cabinet meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. 11 proposals have been approved in this cabinet meeting. The most important among these is to get the approval of the yoga policy. Let us tell you that this is the first yoga policy of the country. Through this yoga policy, five areas of the state will be developed as yoga hubs. Along with this, the state government also decided to give a loan of Rs 75 crore to the health department.

At the same time, the procurement rules have also been amended. Departmental works up to Rs 10 crore in the state will be done through local contractors. The working limit of local contractors has been increased in every category. Special emphasis has been laid on local people and local products.

A look at other decisions:

  • Uttarakhand Mega and Industrial Policy 2025 approved. Policy made for the next five years. Industries have been divided into four categories. The state has been divided into four categories in terms of setting up industries.
  • Amendment made in Uttarakhand Poison Possession and Sale Rules. Methyl alcohol was also included in this rule.
  • Amendment made in State Department Subordinate Accounts Cadre Gazetted Rules 2019.
  • Approval was given for placing the annual report of State Flood Protection in the House.
  • Cabinet approved the making of Uttarakhand Essay Clerical Staff Service Rules 2025. New rules will be made in place of Uttarakhand Essay Clerical Staff Service Rules 1978.
  • Amendment made in Uttarakhand Service Sector Policy 2024.
  • Amendment made in the structure of Uttarakhand Tea Development Board.

Decision on Atal Ayushman Yojana

Apart from this, the Dhami cabinet has also taken a big decision regarding Atal Ayushman Yojana. The Dhami government of the state has approved a loan of Rs 75 crore to the health department in view of the problem being faced by the department in making payments to hospitals under the health scheme. Through this, payments can be made to the hospitals. Along with this, food and lodging arrangements will be made for the attendants in Dehradun and Haldwani Medical College. The government will provide land for this. Also, construction will be done through CSR funds.
