Haridwar: Recently, there were common discussions about changing the name of Vandana Kataria Hockey Stadium in Haridwar. On which Congress and other opposition parties also protested against the government. After which the government had to give clarification on this. Now CM Dhami himself met hockey star player Vandana Kataria. In this meeting, CM Dhami assured her that the name of Haridwar Hockey Stadium will remain in her name.
Hockey player Vandana Kataria in Haridwar said that she had come to know about the change of name of the stadium through the news, then she felt bad. Hockey player Vandana Kataria said that it was not a question of her name but a matter of respect for a player. She said that today by meeting CM Dhami, the confusion regarding this has been removed. She said that the name of Vandana Kataria Hockey Stadium in Haridwar is not being changed.
Along with this, without naming the Congress, Vandana Kataria said that now that the Chief Minister has assured her, she wants to say that she appeals to those who stood with her to end the protest. Vandana Kataria said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has promised that the name of the stadium is not going to be changed. On meeting with CM Dhami, Vandana Kataria said that the CM has a different love for the players. He respects the players. He himself is also a sports lover. She said that there was a conversation with CM Dhami on many issues.
