Dehradun: Expenditure-Finance Committee meeting was held in the Secretariat on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the Expenditure-Finance Committee meeting, approval was given to the construction work of Rafting Management Center near Janaki Setu in Rishikesh and double lane work of Doiwala-Dudhli motor road.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary talked about including hill culture and green building in the design of the Rafting Management Center. He said that the Rafting Management Center should be made self-sustainable so that funds are arranged for its operation and maintenance.
During the meeting, it was told that the total cost of construction of Rafting Management Center is Rs 4404.27 lakh. After its construction, works like permit, timetable and crowd control will be done along with live video monitoring from drones and CCTV cameras at rafting points. In the meeting, approval was also given to the double lane work of Doiwala-Dudhli motor road at a cost of 1306.64 lakhs.
Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey and Sridhar Babu Addanki along with other senior departmental officers were present on this occasion.
