Three agreements signed in the presence of CM Dhami, agreements for social development, digital talent center and conducting modern courses in colleges

Dehradun: Three important agreements were signed in the Secretariat on Wednesday in the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Uttarakhand Government, Setu Commission and Tata Trust signed an agreement for work in the areas of social development. A tripartite agreement was signed between Setu Commission, Higher Education Department, Technical Education Department and NASSCOM/IT-ITES Sector Skill Council towards making Uttarakhand India’s leading skill center in the field of technology. A tripartite agreement was also signed between Setu Commission, Higher Education Department and Wadhwani Foundation to make the state a skill development center for emerging technology and employment-oriented personality development of students.

Under the 10-year agreement with Tata Trust to advance social and economic development in Uttarakhand, work will be done together in areas like water management, nutrition, telemedicine, rural livelihood and green energy.

Under the agreement with NASSCOM to make Uttarakhand a major skill center in the field of technology, courses will be included with academic credit in all government and private higher education institutions of the state and one model college in each district will be developed as a ‘Mentor Institute’. Its objective is to provide information and skill development to about 1.5 lakh students of the state in areas like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber ​​Security, Python, Generative through Future Skills Prime Platform.

Under the three-year agreement with Wadhwani Foundation to make Uttarakhand a skill development center for emerging technology and employment-oriented personality development of students, courses will be included in all government higher educational institutions of the state with academic credit from the next session. The objective of this initiative is to provide assistance to about 1.20 lakh students of the state in artificial intelligence-based personality development and self-employment related skill development.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the three agreements signed today for social development, making the state a center of digital talent and starting modern courses of AI-based personality development will be extremely useful for the people of the state. The Chief Minister said that to make Uttarakhand the leading state of the country in every field, the state government is working on schemes keeping in mind the people of the last end of the society. Many new initiatives are being taken by taking people of every region and class together for the overall development of the state.

The Chief Minister said that these agreements are important steps towards preparing human resources full of modern skills in Uttarakhand and making the state a modern AI and cyber security hub. AI based curriculum will prove to be effective in enhancing employment oriented skills of young students of Uttarakhand and in developing soft skills for the 21st century. The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Tata Trust, NASSCOM and Wadhwani Foundation for these three important agreements made in the state.
