Dehradun: In line with the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a free health camp was organized for journalists and their families in Dehradun on Tuesday by the Health and Information Department, in which more than 350 journalists and their families were examined.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, showing sensitivity towards the health of journalists, had recently instructed the officials to organize special medical camps for journalists. In this sequence, a special health camp was organized on Tuesday in the Information Directorate campus located on Ring Road. In which senior doctors of Government Doon Medical College conducted health check-up of journalists and gave advice. Along with this, other tests including pathology and the work of making Aabha ID was also done on the spot. This special health camp was inaugurated by Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar and Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari. On this occasion, Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar said that in view of the busy schedule of journalists and media personnel, this camp was organized, in which specialist doctors provided consultation after examination under one roof. Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that such camps will be organized for the welfare of journalists in future also, he said that Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is always striving for the interests of journalists, this camp was organized in this sequence. Director Medical Education Dr. Ashutosh Sayana said that senior physicians of Government Doon Medical College Dr. Vivekanand Satyawali, Dr. Ankur Pandey, Dr. NS Bisht, pediatrician Dr. Ashok Kumar, ENT Dr. Piyush Tripathi, ophthalmologist Dr. Shanti Pandey, cardiologist Dr. Amar Upadhyay, gynecologist Dr. Chitra Joshi, orthopedist Dr. Anil Joshi, dentist Dr. Devashish Sawai, Dr. Yogeshwari, surgeon Dr. Abhay, Dr. Dinesh Chauhan, urologist Dr. Manoj Vishwas, dermatologist Dr. Bhavya, psychiatrist Dr. Jagdish Singh Bisht, neurosurgeon Dr. DP Tiwari, pathologist Dr. Umashankar Kandwal, CMS Dr. Ravindra Bisht, principal Dr. Geeta Jain, senior radiology technician Mahendra Bhandari and paramedical staff also participated in the camp. Dr. Ashutosh Sayana said that more than 350 journalists and their family members were examined in the camp. Along with Abha ID, Vaya Vandan cards were also made in the camp. He told that many such cases also came to light, in which journalists came to know about problems like sugar, BP, vision defects for the first time only after investigation, for this they were also given consultation and medicines.
Media personnel are busy day and night, due to which many times they are not able to take time to take care of their health. That is why this special health camp was organized.
