Dehradun: On the night of June 19, the Uttarakhand government suddenly transferred 31 IAS and 24 PCS officers. Such a large number of transfers raised many questions. Everyone is surprised at the timing of these transfers as well as the shifting of senior officers here and there.
In the transfers done yesterday, Sachin Kurve and Sonika have been removed. In this, Sonika Singh was looking after the responsibility of CEO of UCADA. At the same time, Sachin Kurve was looking after the Tourism and Religious Endowments and Civil Aviation Department. Last month, when the officers were transferred, it was also being speculated that the Tourism Secretary could be changed, but this did not happen.
On the transfers, senior journalist Narendra Sethi says that in the transfers that took place late at night, there were many names whose transfer was inevitable. He said that the way the Tourism Secretary has been removed shows that the feedback was reaching Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami from the bottom up. Being the Tourism Secretary, Sachin Kurve’s activism was not seen during the yatra in that way. On top of that, when all the journalists used to call him for events and information, he was hardly available. This thing always came in front of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami during press conferences or other programs. Perhaps this was the reason that during the Chardham Yatra, a new officer has been given an important responsibility like tourism. After the transfers, Dheeraj Singh Garbyal has been given the responsibility of tourism. BJP leader also took a dig: It happens very rarely when the reaction of politicians comes to the fore on the transfer of an officer. Former President of Badri Kedar Temple Committee Ajendra Ajay has also commented on the transfer of Sachin Kurve on social media. He has described the change in the post of Secretary Tourism and Religion as pleasant. For this, he has congratulated Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Reason for giving Kumbh responsibility to Sonika Singh: Along with this, Narendra Sethi believes that helicopter accidents were happening continuously in the state. Sonika was not able to manage this department. Along with this, Sonika has also been given the responsibility of Haridwar Kumbh. In such a situation, the government also felt that if they have been given a big responsibility like the upcoming Kumbh Mela, then it is very important to deploy another officer to monitor or arrange facilities like helicopters in the state. Perhaps this is the reason that after removing Sonika, this responsibility has now been given to Ashish Chauhan.
DMs of Chardham Yatra districts also changed: Along with this, changing the DMs of districts like Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi in the transfers is also raising many questions. Experts believe that the pile of chaos was the main reason for the transfer in two important districts like Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi. During the Chardham Yatra, the government does not want any kind of irregularities in it, as a result of which these transfers have been seen.
