Dehradun: President Draupadi Murmu, who arrived in Uttarakhand on a 3-day visit, released a special postage stamp in a program organized at Rashtrapati Niketan, Dehradun to commemorate the completion of 125 years of Uttarakhand’s historic Raj Bhavan Nainital. Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (retd) was also present on the occasion. He thanked the President for giving this historical heritage a place in the national memory.
It is worth noting that this building of Raj Bhavan Nainital is considered to be an excellent example of the wonderful Gothic architectural style of the British period. The grand architecture of the Raj Bhavan, the land structure and the natural beauty around it make this heritage site unique. On the occasion of the release of the postage stamp, the Governor also presented the coffee table book “Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat” to the President. This coffee table book is based on the State Foundation Day of each state and union territories celebrated in the Raj Bhavan.
