Dehradun: On the 11th International Yoga Day, Uttarakhand and the country got the gift of the first yoga policy. During this, the CM launched the yoga policy and announced to establish two new yoga cities and two spiritual economic zones in the mountainous areas. Said, the whole world will be benefited from this Sanjeevani of the mountainous state.
The Yoga Day organized in Bhararisain of Gairsain, the summer capital on Saturday, was historic in many ways. On the one hand, ambassadors, high commissioners and other representatives of eight friendly nations reached the summer capital of Uttarakhand, while on the other hand the state and the country got the gift of the first yoga policy.
Along with this, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami announced to establish two new yoga cities in the mountainous region from Bhararisain. Which will establish the special identity of the state on the global map by becoming the center of Ayurveda and spirituality. In this, big groups, spiritual gurus, institutions working in the field of wellness from all over the world will be invited.
He said that the state government will soon establish one Spiritual Economic Zone each in Garhwal and Kumaon divisions to promote Ayurvedic and naturopathy, yoga and spiritual tourism in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is determined to establish five new yoga hubs in the state by the year 2030 and ensure the availability of yoga services in all AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers in the state by March 2026.
