Dehradun: The rainy season continues in Uttarakhand. Heavy rains have created disaster-like conditions in the state. Cloudburst in Uttarkashi has caused heavy destruction and many connecting roads have been disrupted. District Magistrate DM Prashant Kumar Arya said that in view of the heavy rain warning issued by the Dehradun Meteorological Center and on the instructions of the Garhwal Commissioner, the Chardham Yatra has been stopped for the next 24 hours. Instructions have been given to the police and the concerned SDM to stop the pilgrims in safe places in the district.
At the same time, the Chardham Yatra was postponed for a day after the Meteorological Department’s alert in Uttarakhand. At the same time, according to the Dehradun Meteorological Department, there may be rain with thunder and lightning in some places of Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar of the state. Rain with thunder and lightning has been forecast at most places in other districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts of the state. For which a red alert has been issued. While there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in some places in Bageshwar district of the state and an orange alert has been issued. There is a possibility of heavy rain in some places in the remaining districts of the state. There may be heavy rain with lightning in all the districts of the state. For which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. Talking about the capital Dehradun, it will generally remain cloudy here. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 30°C and 22°C respectively.
