Dehradun: Heavy rains have been continuing in Uttarakhand for the past few days. Life has been disrupted due to heavy rains in the state. Many connecting roads have been obstructed by falling debris and stones, while even the bridges have been submerged in rivers and streams. Due to which the problems of the people have increased and many villages have lost contact with the district headquarters. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has again predicted heavy rains in many districts today. Along with this, red, orange and yellow alerts have been issued and people have been appealed to be alert.
The monsoon season in Uttarakhand is breaking down as a disaster for the people. The havoc of monsoon rains is being seen everywhere. At the same time, according to the Dehradun Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely in most places of all the districts of Uttarakhand today. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in some places in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Nainital, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts of the state. For which the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in some places in the remaining districts of the state and the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert.
While there is a possibility of lightning with thunder in some places in all the districts of the state and people have been appealed to be alert by issuing a yellow alert. On the other hand, if we talk about the capital Dehradun, then it will generally be cloudy here, heavy to very heavy rains are expected. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 29°C and 22°C respectively. Let us tell you that in view of the heavy rain alert, Nainital DM Vandana Singh has declared a holiday for all Anganwadis and government and non-government schools on June 30 i.e. today. Secretary Disaster Management Vinod Kumar Suman said that the Dehradun Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for rain in all areas of the state on June 30, i.e. today, due to which, in view of disaster mitigation, a one-day holiday is declared on June 30, 2025 in all educational institutions and Anganwadi centers running from class 1 to 12 in the state. He said that all Anganwadi centers along with government, non-government and private schools of the state will remain closed today.
