Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the cases of residual assets and liabilities between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand state at the Secretariat on Wednesday. The Chief Minister directed the officials that in the cases in which consensus was reached between the two states in the last meeting, out of those cases in which the proceedings are in progress, they should be resolved soon by holding a meeting with the officials of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will soon hold a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the residual assets and liabilities of both the states.
After the last meeting of the Chief Ministers of both the states, water sports have been allowed in the reservoirs / canals located in District Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar. Irrigation Department Uttar Pradesh has paid Rs 57.87 crore in the form of electricity bills. Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Corporation has paid Rs 3.98 crore to Uttarakhand Fisheries Development Agency. Partial payment of liabilities payable to Forest Development Corporation Uttarakhand has been made. The remaining amount of Transport Corporation has been paid. It has been decided to dispose of the assets of Housing Development Council under the Housing Department.
Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Dr. Neeraj Kherwal and concerned departmental officers were present in the meeting.
