Dhami government is going to make Parliamentary Affairs Minister soon!

Dehradun: Discussions have been in full swing regarding cabinet expansion in Uttarakhand. However, contrary to all speculations, the government did not expand the cabinet, but now soon the government will have to make a Parliamentary Affairs Minister. It seems necessary to do so due to the upcoming assembly session.

The upcoming assembly session in Uttarakhand will be convened before 21 August 2025. A letter related to this has been written by the Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Department. So that the preparations for the upcoming assembly session can be completed on time. However, the place of the session has not been decided yet, that is, whether the session will be convened in Dehradun Assembly or in Gairsain, a final decision has not been taken on this.

The monsoon session of the fifth assembly 2025 is to be held in the state. Actually, the session of the assembly has to be convened within 6 months. In such a situation, it has been clarified that it is necessary to convene the session before 21 August 2025. After the decision is taken by the government regarding the place, the Assembly Secretariat will be informed.

It has also been clarified in the letter that because the assembly session is to be held in the coming days, therefore, the information received every day should be compiled from now itself. Also, nodal officers should be nominated at the departmental level to answer these. That is, it has been asked to make full preparations for the assembly session from now itself.

The government will have to appoint a Parliamentary Affairs Minister

In view of the upcoming assembly session, the government will now have to appoint a Parliamentary Affairs Minister. Earlier, Premchand Agarwal used to handle the responsibility in the assembly as the Parliamentary Affairs Minister, but after his removal from the post of minister, this department is lying vacant.

To strongly present the government’s side in the assembly, the cabinet can be expanded by making either an MLA the Parliamentary Affairs Minister or for the time being, any of the existing ministers can be given the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister. Whatever it may be, but now the government will have to give the responsibility of Parliamentary Affairs Minister to someone.
