CM Dhami reached Haridwar, reviewed the preparations for the Kanwar fair, know what will be special this time

Haridwar: The Kanwar fair is going to start from July 11 in Haridwar district of Uttarakhand. The government, administration and police are very serious about the Kanwar fair. For a long time, the administration and police have been engaged in the preparations for the Kanwar fair. At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also reached Haridwar today. During this, CM Dhami reviewed the preparations for the Kanwar fair and monsoon.

CM Dhami said that the entire effort of the Uttarakhand government is to provide safe travel to the devotees coming to Chardham and Kanwar Yatra. At present the weather is clear. However, in between, the journey is being stopped in view of the forecast of the Meteorological Department.

CM Dhami said that his government welcomes the devotees of Shiva coming on the Kanwar Yatra. The government has made good arrangements for the Shiva devotees to take a pleasant experience of the journey. The CM told that he himself held a review meeting with all the departments. His effort is to make the Kanwar Yatra divine and grand.

How does Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami view his tenure so far? In response to this question, CM Dhami said that under the guidance of PM Modi, his government has done many development works. Innovation has been taken forward. There will be an effort to continue it in future as well. At the same time, taking lessons from the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the government has also made strong security arrangements. Force has also been sought from the Center for the Kanwar fair.

In the review meeting, CM Dhami said that all preparations should be done on a large scale during the Kanwar Yatra so that this experience is also useful in the upcoming Kumbh Mela. For a green and clean Kanwar Yatra, mobile toilets, water, special vehicles should be deployed for garbage disposal every 1 to 2 km in Haridwar, Roorkee, Rishikesh and surrounding 30 km radius. Also, the availability of health center, ambulance and medical staff should be ensured every 5 km. Instructions have also been given to the officials to create the Uttarakhand Kanwar Seva App, in which all the details should be made available to the Kanwariyas.

During the Kanwar fair, along with ensuring compliance of safety standards in the dhabas and hotels located on the travel route, food license and rate list should be mandatorily displayed. It should be ensured that the travel rules and cleanliness are fully followed. During this, traffic should be monitored with the help of drones and AI technology. Along with this, extra caution should be taken in the land slide zone area on the travel route in Tehri, Pauri and Uttarkashi areas. It should be ensured that strict action should be taken against those who spread misleading news during the Kanwar Yatra, for this social media should also be continuously monitored.
