Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday established a direct dialogue with the students of various schools of Champawat district under the Bal Samvad program through video conferencing from Tourist Rest House, Tanakpur. The objective of the program was to get information about the progress of sports activities in schools and to discuss with the players about their needs and suggestions.
The Chief Minister interacted with Gaurav of R.I.C. Champawat, Preeti of R.I.C. Pati, Kanchan of R.I.C. Tanakpur, Sagar of R.I.C. Chaumel and Monica of R.I.C. Champawat and took information related to sports facilities, resources and training. The students told the Chief Minister that they are regularly benefiting from the Chief Minister’s Udyaman Khiladi Protsahan Yojana, which is helping in improving their sports skills.
Motivating the students, Chief Minister Dhami said that they should give equal importance to sports along with studies. He said that Uttarakhand is not only making its mark as Devbhoomi but also as Khelbhoomi. Describing the youth as the charioteer of Amritkal, he stressed the importance of discipline, time management and hard work.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is fully committed to giving a strong platform to sports talent and promoting sports culture. He described the state’s sports policy and efforts like Chief Minister Udiyaman Khiladi Yojana as important steps towards the all-round development of the youth.
On this occasion, students and teaching staff of schools of Champawat, Pati, Chaumel, Tanakpur and Chamdeval area were present in large numbers.
