Champawat: During the program organized at Tourism Awas Grih, Tanakpur on the occasion of the launch of the first group of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the launch of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from the holy land of Maa Purnagiri is a matter of good fortune for the entire Uttarakhand. All the devotees associated with this Yatra will become brand ambassadors of the cultural and spiritual heritage of Uttarakhand. On this occasion, the Chief Minister, while talking about developing Champawat as a spiritual zone, said that Champawat will become the center of spiritual tourism in Kumaon division. The mythological sites, cultural heritage and spiritual environment here will be recognized at the global level.
He talked about developing the Chuka area as a wedding destination and also talked about giving a grand look to the Sharda Corridor, so that religious tourism can get a new impetus. Chief Minister Dhami directed District Magistrate Manish Kumar to rapidly develop Champawat as a spiritual and wedding destination, so that tourism, economy and local employment in the area can get a new dimension.
