Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday during a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence directed the officials to start high altitude ultra marathon with the aim of promoting tourism. This marathon should be organized from Gunji to Adi Kailash in Kumaon region and from Niti Mana to Malari in Garhwal. He directed the officials to include this event in the annual tourism calendar and ensure its regular organization on the scheduled date every year.
The Chief Minister also directed the officials to make the disaster management system more strong as well as provide assistance to the affected on time. Instructed to make a detailed plan regarding Gherbari / Solar Fencing for the protection of crops in border and mountainous areas.
Principal Secretary R. K Sudhanshu, R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli and Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari were present in the meeting.
