Uttarakhand: Review meeting of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan

Dehradun: Review meeting of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. In the meeting, presentation of financial and physical progress of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana was presented by the concerned officials.

It was informed in the presentation that at present the fourth phase of PMGSY scheme is in progress. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-4 has a target of building 9500 km of road covering 2645 villages. In its first phase, DPR of 212 roads of 1370 km has been approved. Work is going on on them.

It was told that the department has developed Inspect to Perfect app through which real time monitoring of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana is being done.

The Chief Secretary directed the officials of PMGSY to keep the quality of road construction works better and also ensure to increase its progress rapidly.

He told the concerned officials that there are some villages in the remote areas of Pithoragarh where internet connectivity has to be provided and for that road approach is necessary, he instructed to do homework to provide road connectivity to these villages deprived of road in remote areas through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and take further action in this regard.

On this occasion, Secretary Radhika Jha, C Ravi Shankar and Sridhar Babu Adyanki, Additional Secretary Abhishek Rohela along with concerned officials were present.
