Srinagar: In a significant administrative shake-up, the Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday ordered the transfer and posting of seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The changes, described as being “in the interest of administration,” were announced through an official order issued by the General Administration Department, with immediate effect.
Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma Appointed Financial Commissioner of Tourism
Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, IAS (AGMUT:1994), who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department. Additionally, he will also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department until further notice.
Anil Kumar Singh Shifted to Public Works (R&B)
Anil Kumar Singh, IAS (AGMUT:1995), previously serving as Principal Secretary to the Government, Social Welfare Department, and Administrative Secretary, Mining Department, has now been posted as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department.
