Dehradun: State level steering committee meeting related to Vibrant Village scheme was held in the secretariat on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary has given instructions to complete the schemes related to Vibrant Village on priority basis.
The Chief Secretary said that in order to complete the schemes in a timely manner, the process should be expedited by constantly communicating with the concerned ministries in the central government. He said that continuous monitoring should be done to complete the schemes in a timely manner. He has also given instructions to prioritize the schemes. He said that in the implementation of schemes, in order to complete such important schemes in a timely manner, continuous coordination should be made with the concerned departments.
The Chief Secretary said that the districts should also seriously consider the selection of schemes. He said that from the point of view of Vibrant Village, the districts need to pay special attention to the most important schemes. Such plans should be prepared which fulfill the objectives of the Vibrant Village Scheme. The Chief Secretary said that a workshop will be organized soon for coordination between civil and army in the Vibrant Village area. He said that from the point of view of Vibrant Village, representatives of important departments of the state government, ITBP, Indian Army, Government of India should be included in the workshop. Secretary Radhika Jha said that 524 projects were sent to the Home Ministry under the scheme, out of which 181 have been approved. She said that out of 181 proposals, 115 will be funded for Vibrant Village and 66 through convergence. She said that out of the 93 works for which funds have been released, work has been started in 14 out of 18 projects in Chamoli district. Out of 62 works in Pithoragarh, 38 works have been started, while the tender process is going on for the remaining 24 works. Out of the 13 works in Uttarkashi, 8 are of UREDA, of which 80 percent work has been completed and 5 works are of Forest Department, of which 60 percent work has been completed.
On this occasion, Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha, Secretary Dr. B.V.R.C. Purushottam, Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Dhiraj Singh Garbyal, IG ITBP Sanjay Gunjyal, IG Nilesh Anand Bharane, IG Karan Singh Nagnyal, Additional Secretary Dr. Ahmed Iqbal, Anuradha Pal along with District Magistrates of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh were present.
