Uttarkashi: There has been a huge devastation in Dharali of Uttarkashi district on Tuesday due to the disaster. The debris that came flowing in the Kheer Ganga river engulfed the market of Dharali village, the main stop of Gangotri Yatra. Within just half a minute, the flood has caused heavy damage to the hotels, homestays and houses located there. This incident has shaken not only Uttarakhand but the entire country. PM Narendra Modi spoke to CM Pushkar Singh Dhami over the phone and inquired about the natural disaster and rescue operations in Uttarkashi Dharali area.
Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami told PM Modi that the state government is engaged in relief and rescue operations. At the same time, due to continuous heavy rains in the state, there are problems in some areas, but all the concerned agencies are working in mutual coordination, so that the affected people can get quick help. PM Narendra Modi assured all possible help from the central government.
