Dhami reviewed relief and rescue operations in Uttarkashi till late night, instructed officials to provide all possible help to the disaster affected

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the ongoing relief and rescue operations in Dharali-Harsil at Smart Control Room Uttarkashi late Wednesday evening. During the review, District Magistrates of other districts and senior officials of the government were also connected through video conferencing.

The Chief Minister visited Harshil and Dharali area today and met the affected families. The Chief Minister assured all possible help to the affected families. The Chief Minister has given instructions to the affected families to provide all possible help due to cloudburst in Dharali. Taking stock of the damage caused, he directed to complete the relief and rescue operations at a fast pace. After the on-site inspection of the affected areas, the Chief Minister reached the disaster control room and also inquired about the status of disaster preparedness of all the districts and gave necessary instructions to the officers.

The Chief Minister said that relief and rescue operations should be done on top priority in the disaster affected areas and food, drinking water, medical assistance and other essential materials should be made available to the affected people immediately. Cleanliness, toilets, health services and essential facilities should be ensured to the people living in relief camps.

The Chief Minister, while giving instructions to open the blocked road as soon as possible, said that unhindered access of relief material and rescue teams should be ensured.
