DGP reviewed the ongoing relief and rescue operations in Uttarkashi, directed the officials to prepare an accurate list of people missing in the disaster

Dehradun: Director General of Police, Deepam Seth, reviewed the first phase of relief and rescue operations of the natural disaster in Dharali and Harshil area of ​​Uttarkashi at the Police Headquarters and in a detailed discussion on the action plan of the second phase, it was decided that in the second phase of relief and rescue, special focus will be given on search and rescue operations. SDRF Inspector General of Police, Arun Mohan Joshi, has been appointed as the incident commander for this operation.

Adequate number of SDRF, Fire, PAC, and Police forces will be immediately deployed at Dharali and Harshil site to speed up the search and rescue operation. Along with this, an accurate list of missing persons will be prepared by coordinating with local citizens, village representatives, and the district administration. On the basis of this list, the priority of the search operation will be decided and other necessary legal action will be ensured.
