Power lines will be underground in Yoga City Rishikesh, Center approves plan of 547.47 crores, Dhami expresses gratitude to PM Modi

Dehradun/Delhi: The Central Government has approved the scheme for undergrounding of HT/LT lines and SCADA automation in Ganga Corridor of Rishikesh by UPCL, Uttarakhand with a total project cost of ₹547.73 crores (including parallel GBS ₹493.05 crores) and PMA charges @ 1.5% of project cost (₹8.22 crores, including GBS ₹7.39 crores).

Under this project, HT/LT power lines will be undergrounded in important areas of Rishikesh, along with SCADA automation system will also be implemented, which will develop transparency, monitoring and quick improvement capability in power supply.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Energy Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for approving the project of ₹547.73 crore by Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) for undergrounding and automation of power lines in the Ganga Corridor area of ​​​​Rishikesh. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had requested the central government in this regard.
