Doon University staff donated one day’s salary to Chief Minister Relief Fund, Vice Chancellor Surekha handed over the cheque to CM Dhami

Dehradun: Vice Chancellor of Doon University Prof. Surekha Dangwal made a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the Chief Minister’s residence today and on this occasion presented one day’s salary of all the teachers, officers and employees of Doon University to the Chief Minister as a contribution to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, so that the disaster affected people can be helped. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami appreciated this collective spirit of cooperation and said that “This contribution of Doon University in this hour of disaster is not only an inspiring step, but it also reflects the social responsibility and sensitivity of the educational institutions of the state.” Expressing gratitude to the Vice Chancellor and the university family, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that other educational, social and private institutions of the state will also come forward in the same way and provide their cooperation in disaster relief work. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also said that the state government is carrying out quick relief and rehabilitation work in the disaster affected areas on priority basis and with public cooperation this work will be completed more effectively.
