Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday directed during a high-level meeting at the Chief Minister’s residence that tampering with public health will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed the District Magistrates, Police and Health Department to jointly run an intensive campaign to completely end the manufacture and sale of counterfeit medicines in the state. He said that strict action should be taken against those dealing in counterfeit medicines and the entire network should be demolished.
The Chief Minister said that resolving the problems of the families affected by the Dharali disaster and arranging for their rehabilitation, relief and livelihood is the top priority of the government. He directed that the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary Revenue should submit its report soon. After the report of the committee comes, rehabilitation and relief work will be done on a large scale in other disaster affected areas of the state.
The Chief Minister directed to run a Swadeshi campaign on a large scale in the state. He said that this campaign would be an important step towards self-reliant India. The Chief Minister also called upon the ministers, administrative officers and employees to promote indigenous products. He directed that indigenous products and equipment should be given priority in government procurement. Maximum use of local products should be ensured in government programs and events. The recent changes in the GST slab will further promote indigenous products.
The Chief Minister said that proper training should be arranged for the Agniveers of the state. For this, special training programs should be organized from time to time in the Police Training Center.
The Chief Minister said that the government is working with full commitment to fulfill the promises we made to the people of the state in our vision document. The Chief Minister directed the officers to work more rapidly to fulfill all the resolutions taken in public interest. He said that keeping in mind the public sentiments and public aspirations, the government is working with determination.
