Kashipur: A grand Nagar Kirtan was taken out on Tuesday on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Teg Bahadur in Kashipur of Udham Singh Nagar district. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also participated in this procession and met the Sangat. CM Dhami reached Gurdwara Nankana Sahib Kashipur in the morning, where he addressed the Sangat involved in the Nagar Kirtan.
The Shaheedi Nagar Kirtan organized by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee on the occasion of the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib and his martyred companions Bhai Mati Das, Bhai Sati Das, Bhai Dayala in Kashipur reached Gurdwara Nankana Sahib late on Monday night after traveling about 2500 km from Assam. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the Sangat at 8.30 am on Tuesday. The Nagar Kirtan left for Delhi at 10 am. This Nagar Kirtan started from Gurdwara Ghubari Sahib in Assam on August 21 and reached Kashipur late on Monday night via several districts of Bengal, Uttar Pradesh. About 200 people including Gyani Kev Singh, Granthi Darbar Sahib Amritsar, Ragi Jatha, Thadi Jatha are involved in this kirtan.
During this, Gurdwara Nankana Sahib has been decorated grandly. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Gurdwara Nankana Sahib at 8.30 am on Tuesday. Here he visited the Sangat. After the darshan, he met the people. After this, the Sangat will depart at around 10 am and will rest at Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Rat Garh via Swar, Moradabad. This Sangat will end on November 25 at Gurdwara Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. A large number of people were present in the Gurudwara.
