Dehradun: PM Modi will take stock of the disaster-affected areas today, will hold a high-level meeting after aerial survey

Dehradun: This time the monsoon has caused heavy devastation in Uttarakhand. Heavy rains, cloudbursts and landslides have caused a lot of damage at many places, especially in the hilly districts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Uttarakhand on September 11 to take stock of the devastation after heavy rains. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a program to conduct an aerial inspection of the disaster-affected areas at 4:15.

PM Modi will come to Uttarakhand on Thursday: After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hold a high-level meeting in Dehradun at 5 pm. Prime Minister Modi will not only visit Uttarakhand on Thursday. But, he is also going to visit Uttar Pradesh. The PM’s visit will be to Uttar Pradesh first.

Under which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Varanasi. According to PIB, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host Mauritius Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam at around 11:30 am in Varanasi. Mauritius Prime Minister Ramgoolam is on a state visit to India from 9 to 16 September 2025.

PM Modi will do aerial inspection of disaster-affected areas: After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Uttarakhand. He has to do aerial inspection of the disaster-affected areas here. PM Modi will do aerial inspection of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and surrounding areas by sitting in an army helicopter. After this, he will return and hold a high level meeting with all the officials and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the airport itself. In this meeting, along with the officials of Uttarakhand, the officials of the central team who have visited the state will also be present.

Major disasters have occurred in Uttarakhand: Let us tell you that this year disaster has occurred in many districts of Uttarakhand. First of all, on August 5, disaster came from Kheerganga Gad in Dharali of Uttarkashi district. The flood in Kheerganga brought with it large boulders, trees and debris. The debris and flood devastated Dharali village and surrounding areas. All the hotels, shops and houses of Dharali market were buried under the debris. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Dharali market was completely destroyed. A large number of missing people are still not traced.

The disaster in Pauri caused great loss: On August 6, a disaster struck Pauri Garhwal district. Heavy rains caused landslides in Village Saanji, Patti Bali Kandarsyun and Village Raidul, Patti Padulsyun of Pauri tehsil. Many residential buildings were destroyed in this natural disaster. Agricultural land also suffered heavy losses. Many people also went missing in the Pauri disaster, who have not been traced yet.

The disaster also disrupted life in Tharali: After this, a natural disaster struck Tharali in Chamoli district on August 23. Heavy rains and landslides caused heavy damage in Kotdip, Radibag, Upper Bazaar, Kulsari, Chepdo, Sagwara and other parts of Tharali. A young girl died due to heavy rains and landslides. One person went missing. Rescue operations went on in Tharali for several days. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself had reached Tharali.
