CM Dhami did a ground inspection of Maldevta and Kesarwala of Dehradun affected by heavy rains

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday conducted a ground inspection of Maldevta area and Kesarwala of Dehradun district affected by heavy rains and took stock of the situation there. During the inspection, the Chief Minister directed the officials to speed up the relief and rescue operations in the affected areas and assured to provide all possible assistance to the local citizens.

The Chief Minister said that due to heavy rains, roads, bridges and government properties have suffered heavy damage in various areas of the state, which has also had a wide impact on the lives of the common people. He directed that the blocked routes should be opened soon, supply of safe drinking water and electricity should be ensured immediately.

The Chief Minister said that the team of the government and administration is constantly active in the field and all the departments are carrying out relief, rescue and rehabilitation works with mutual coordination. He said that in view of the increase in the water level of the rivers, special vigilance is being taken to deal with the disaster.

The Chief Minister is constantly reviewing the situation of the State Disaster Operations Center and various districts and is in regular contact with all the District Magistrates. He directed the officials to solve the problems of every citizen of the affected areas on immediate priority basis.

During the field inspection, the Chief Minister was accompanied by MLA Umesh Sharma ‘Kau’, Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari and senior officers of the district administration.
