Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday interacted with the public by virtually participating in the Tehsil Diwas programs organized in all the tehsils across the state from the Chief Minister’s residence. He listened to the problems of the people and directed the concerned officials to resolve them immediately. The Chief Minister said that Tehsil Diwas is a strong platform for resolving the problems of the common people and the government aims to resolve every complaint within the stipulated time.
The Chief Minister directed the officials that the problems of the common people should be resolved at the local level on Tehsil Diwas, so that people do not have to go to the district headquarters, government to resolve their complaints. He said that everyone together has to make Tehsil Diwas 100 percent effective. He said that along with quick resolution of complaints, regular follow-up of other complaints should also be ensured, so that there is no problem at any level. He said that all the officers should take Tehsil Diwas seriously. This day shows the government’s commitment to public service. The Chief Minister said that such ineligible persons who have made documents like Ayushman, ration card, permanent residence, caste certificate on the basis of wrong information should also be identified.
He said that protecting the rights and resources of the people of the state is the priority of the state government. The Chief Minister said that strict action should be taken to prevent encroachment on government land, river-drains land and other public properties. He directed the officials to take immediate effective steps on matters related to encroachment so that such problems do not arise in future.
The Chief Minister directed to constitute a committee under the chairmanship of SDM at the tehsil level to settle land disputes in various districts. In which officers of Police Department, Forest Department and Irrigation Department etc. will also be members. He said that this committee will be responsible for preventing encroachment on government land. Also, the dispute of private land will also be settled by this committee.
The Chief Minister said that on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, Seva Pakhwada will be organized across the state. He appealed to the people of the state to participate in the Seva Pakhwada in maximum numbers and make the programs being run in public interest successful. The Chief Minister said that Seva Pakhwada is also a powerful medium to connect the society and promote the spirit of service.
The Chief Minister said that at present our state is facing a disaster. He directed the officials to quickly assess the damage caused by the disaster, so that relief and reconstruction work can be expedited in the affected areas. He said that the state government is giving top priority to the reconstruction of disaster affected areas. He also directed the public representatives and officials to communicate with the disaster affected families and visit the disaster affected areas.
The Chief Minister also directed the officials to be compulsorily present in the meetings of BDC and District Panchayat. He said that by participating in these meetings, the officials will get information about the real problems arising at the village level and a concrete action plan can be made towards their solution.
On this occasion, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, DGP Deepam Seth, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Vinay Shankar Pandey, Additional Secretary Banshidhar Tiwari, and officers and local people from each tehsil were present through virtual medium.
