Dehradun: The agitation of unemployed youth continues in Uttarakhand regarding the UKSSSC paper leak case. Hundreds of youth, under the banner of the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association, have been staging a sit-in protest on the roadside near the Parade Ground since yesterday. Today, a delegation from the Unemployed Association met with Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami to express their demands, but no concrete results were achieved. Following this, the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association has called for the continuation of the agitation.
The Unemployed Association placed these demands before CM Dhami: Bobby Panwar, former state president of the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association, said that today a delegation from the Unemployed Association met with Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami and presented him with various demands of the youth. The delegation primarily demanded a CBI investigation into the paper leak case and the immediate cancellation and re-conducting of the examination. Furthermore, they also demanded the withdrawal of the case filed against the woman who was allegedly harassed.
Bobby Panwar said that CM Dhami has also been urged to maintain transparency in recruitment examinations. Regarding this, the youth had given the daytime for some demands and until nighttime for others, but nothing seems to be progressing towards their demands. Therefore, they have decided to continue their protest. Bobby Pawar stated that until these demands are met, unemployed youth will continue to sit on the streets in this manner.
What was the matter? It should be noted that on September 21, 2025, a written examination for graduate-level positions was held by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission. However, within half an hour of the commencement of the examination, screenshots of the question papers surfaced, causing a stir. As the matter escalated, an SIT was formed and an investigation was initiated. Assistant Professor Suman’s name surfaced, as the first to receive the question papers.
Suman claimed that Khalid Malik had sent her the question papers. Malik had mentioned that his sister was preparing for a competitive examination and needed answers. Professor Suman responded to this. Following this, the police took Khalid Malik and his sister under their radar. They detained Khalid’s two sisters, Hina and Sabia. While Hina was released, Sabia was arrested. Several other individuals were also detained. Five police teams were formed to arrest the main accused, Khalid Malik, who was arrested in Haridwar on September 23rd. It’s worth noting that cheating mafia Hakam Singh was also arrested just a day before the UKSSSC graduate-level exam. It was alleged that Hakam Singh was demanding ₹15 lakh from candidates. It was only after Hakam’s arrest that questions began to be raised about the transparency of the exam.
