Uttarakhand: UKSSSC Paper Leak Case, Sector Magistrate Suspended, Learn Why Action Was Taken

Dehradun: While youth anger continues to persist over the paper leak in Uttarakhand, the government has also begun to take a firm stance. In this regard, the government has now issued an order suspending the Project Director of the Rural Development Agency.

The paper leak case during the graduate-level examination conducted by the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission is making headlines. While the search for those involved in the paper leak continues, action has also been initiated against those found negligent in this matter. In this connection, the government has now issued an order suspending KN Tiwari, Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency. Finance Secretary Dilip Jawalkar issued the suspension order in this regard.

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission had written to the government requesting action regarding negligence at the examination center in Haridwar. In which it was stated that Project Director KN Tiwari was responsible for maintaining the integrity of the examination. However, the manner in which three pages of the question paper were sent out of the examination center indicates negligence at the examination center. Therefore, action should be taken against the said officer.

The order clarifies that the manner in which the paper was sent out of the examination center clearly demonstrates that the Project Director failed to fulfill his responsibilities. He lacked sensitivity. Therefore, prima facie negligence is evident in the paper leak case, which warrants his suspension.

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission conducted an examination for various graduate-level vacant positions on September 21st. Three pages of the question paper were found missing from the examination center just half an hour after the exam began. The government has formed an SIT in this matter. Khalid, who sent these three pages out of the examination center, has also been arrested.
