Dehradun: Haridwar Police Captain Pramod Singh Dobal has taken significant action in the case of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) graduate-level examination paper being sent out of the examination center. He has suspended two police officers on duty at the examination center, Adarsh Bal Sadan Inter College, Bahadurpur Jat, with immediate effect. Assistant Professor Suman has also been suspended.
The suspended police officers include Sub-Inspector Rohit Kumar and Constable Brahmadutt Joshi. Both are accused of lacking sensitivity and vigilance during examination duty. The SSP, considering this negligence serious, has ordered disciplinary action against them. The investigation has been assigned to CO Roorkee Narendra Pant. The SSP has directed that the investigation be completed and a detailed report be submitted within a week.
SSP Dobal clearly stated that negligence of any kind will not be tolerated in such sensitive matters. If the police personnel deployed for security and surveillance of examination centers are not honest in their duties, strict action will be taken against them.
What has happened so far: In this case, the police have arrested the main accused, Khalid, and his sister, Sabia. The Higher Education Department has suspended Assistant Professor Suman, who solved the question paper. Furthermore, the government has suspended KN Tiwari, Project Director of the District Rural Development Agency. KN Tiwari was responsible for maintaining integrity in the examination, but the way three pages of the question paper were sent out of the center indicates negligence at the examination center. Therefore, action should be taken against the officer. Furthermore, the government has formed an SIT in this case. The SIT’s investigation will be conducted under the supervision of a retired judge.
