Dehradun: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through his “Mann Ki Baat” program, urged the countrymen to embrace Swadeshi and purchase more and more indigenous products. In line with this, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today purchased goods from the Khadi Village Industries Building on Chakrata Road in Dehradun.
The Chief Minister said that Khadi is not just a fabric or product, but it is the identity of a self-reliant India and a symbol of Mahatma Gandhi’s Swadeshi ideology. The Swadeshi Abhiyan and Vocal for Local, launched at the Prime Minister’s call, have today become a mass movement across the country.
