Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, during a high-level meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence on Saturday, directed officials to ensure all roads in the state are pothole-free at the earliest, ensuring better transportation facilities for the public. The meeting was informed that 52 percent of the patchwork has been completed so far.
The Chief Minister urged that the remaining work be completed at a rapid pace. He directed that the secretaries in charge of all districts should regularly visit their districts to communicate with the public and expedite the implementation of the government’s various development and welfare schemes.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed that construction and reconstruction work be prioritized in the disaster-affected areas of the state. He urged that essential infrastructure in the affected areas be quickly rebuilt to provide relief to the local population. The Chief Minister also stressed the need to repair damaged bridges and accelerate the construction of new bridges.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure quality and transparency in the work. He said that the state government is committed to providing safe, convenient and better infrastructure facilities to the public and for this all the departments will have to work with coordination and alertness.
Principal Secretary R.K. Sudhanshu, Secretary Shailesh Bagauli, Secretary Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Additional Secretary Vineet Kumar and other officers of the Public Works Department were present on this occasion.
