Dehradun: A cabinet meeting was held at the Secretariat on Monday, October 13th, at 10:45 am under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Approximately eight proposals were approved in the cabinet meeting that lasted over three hours.
Proposals passed in the Dhami cabinet meeting: Amendments were made to the Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021. Following the instructions of the Government of India, all mini Anganwadi centers operating in the state will be upgraded to full-fledged Anganwadi centers.
Major announcement for the Raipur area of Dehradun: In view of the construction of the Assembly building in the Raipur area of Dehradun, the surrounding areas were declared a freeze zone. Consequently, the cabinet has approved small construction work in this freeze zone, allowing the construction of individual residences and shops. However, the Housing Department will issue separate guidelines for this.
Amendment made to the UCC: In addition to Aadhaar, Nepali and Bhutanese citizenship certificates will also be considered valid. Foreign registration will also be considered valid for Tibetan citizens.
Relaxation Arrangements: Under the Personnel Department, employees who have completed 50% of their service in a particular position are granted a one-time relaxation during their service period. However, some departments have different provisions for moving from one department to another. Consequently, it has been decided that the relaxation will be available for moving from one service to another.
The Chief Minister approved the prorogation under the Culture and Legislative Department through a deviation, which was brought to the Cabinet’s attention.
Special Session to be Held: It has been decided to hold a special session on the occasion of the 25th year of the state’s establishment, i.e., its Silver Jubilee. Chief Minister Dhami has been authorized to determine the dates for the session.
A major decision was also taken regarding after-tax profits: Under the dividend distribution policy for Uttarakhand’s public sector undertakings, a provision was made for the Public Sector Undertaking Corporation. They will have to give 15% of their after-tax profit to the state government, which the cabinet approved.
Eight proposals were approved in the Dhami cabinet:
- Amendments were made to the Uttarakhand Women and Child Development Subordinate Supervisor Service Rules 2021. Following the instructions of the Government of India, all mini Anganwadi centers operating in the state will be upgraded to full Anganwadi centers.
- Exemptions were granted for the construction of small houses and shops within the freeze zone imposed in Raipur and nearby areas.
- Health workers and health supervisors will receive the benefit of one transfer during their entire service period after completing five years of service.
- Amendments were made to the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code. In addition to Aadhaar, Nepali and Bhutanese citizenship certificates will also be considered valid. Foreign registration will also be considered valid for Tibetan citizens.
